Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman is a 1992 Hindi romantic comedy-drama directed by Aziz Mirza, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Amrita Singh, Juhi Chawla, and Nana Patekar. In the film, Khan portrays Raju, a young Civil Engineering diploma holder from Darjeeling who relocates to Bombay with aspirations of becoming a successful engineer. The film was a commercial hit and its storyline is loosely inspired by the 1987 film The Secret of My Success, as well as Raj Kapoor's classics Shree 420 (1955) and Anari (1959).
