Saudagar is a 1991 Indian Hindi drama film directed by Subhash Ghai. The movie features two legends of Hindi cinema, Dilip Kumar and Raaj Kumar, in leading roles. This film marked their second collaboration after the 1959 production, Paigham. It also introduced Vivek Mushran and Manisha Koirala, with Koirala later establishing herself as a prominent Bollywood actress. The film includes notable performances by Amrish Puri, Anupam Kher, Mukesh Khanna, Dalip Tahil, Gulshan Grover, Dina Pathak, and Jackie Shroff. The storyline draws inspiration from the renowned play Romeo and Juliet, with the character Mandhaari mirroring Friar Laurence's role in the classic tale. Additionally, it was influenced by the 1985 Pakistani Punjabi film Haq Mehar.
